In October and November SVdP handled 43 families directly impacting the lives of 126 people. We collected fewer funds than were distributed, leaving us in the red. We were able to help people with gas; emergency shelter-motel; rent; utilities, electricity, propane and water; food, sleeping bag and camping gear for homeless. We appreciate your faithful generosity that enables us to help those families in need especially in this cold weather. We pray Jesus’ words, “Whatever you do for the least of these, you do for me.” (Collected and distributed fund amounts redacted per diocesan on-line policy.)
Bulletin Prayer Lists will be purged on December 31st. The Bulletin prayer list contains the names of Parishioners and immediate family members in need of prayers, and the e-alert system is for friends and extended family members as well as Parishioners. Prayers of the Faithful read during Mass are for the most critically ill members of our Parish family and will remain in the Prayers for one month unless you notify the office. If you wish your family member to be remembered in prayer, please contact the office.
There is a sign-up sheet on the Bulletin Board for anyone who wants to provide the pastries after Sunday morning Mass. This is open to individuals or committees and commissions. The Men's Club have taken the first weekend of the month and St. Vincent de Paul has taken the last weekend of the months posted. This is a wonderful opportunity for our parish family to share a cup of coffee and some goodies after Mass.
The Bulletin deadline for the weekend of December 29th is Wednesday December 18th. The Bulletin deadline for the weekend of January 5th is Friday, December 20th. Please be sure all bulletin items are emailed to the office by the dates above. Thank you for your cooperation.
